This article reviews the "future endpoints" session chaired by Bill Byrom at this year's DIA Annual Meeting.  Bill reviews the use of wearable sensors to measure EEG activity to derive objective measures of pain; published work by researchers at Roche exploring the use of new endpoints based on remotely administered performance tests conducted using smartphones in MS patients; and work using consumer depth cameras such as Microsoft Kinect to develop new objective measures of movement.
